Robert Encila is an eighteen-year veteran in theatre education, having served as a certified public and private schoolteacher and as an adjunct professor of acting at Pima Community College. A fine arts scholar at the University of Arizona, Robert has performed internationally as a singer, actor, dancer, and musician. He has directed over fifty productions and acted in multiple genres, appearing in Godspell, Pippin, Man of La Mancha, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Normal Heart, Borderlands Theatre's productions of Mixed Messages and Conjunto, and most recently, Arizona Theatre Company’s production of The Pajama Game. Former lead singer for the Afro-Cuban band Ache Pa' Ti, he currently holds the position of choir director at the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew and theatre director of the St. Francis Theatre Ensemble. Robert is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Later this year, he will appear at New York City’s The Players Club and The Birdland Jazz Club with Kindred Spirits, an original musical revue. Ginny Encila is a high-honors graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Art Education. She is the former art specialist at Esperero Canyon Middle School and has thirty years of teaching experience, including seven years with the Summer Fine Arts Program. Ginny's teaching has garnered numerous awards, including Southern Arizona Middle Level Teacher of the Year (1997), Virginia Elementary Art Teacher of the Year and Northern Virginia Regional Art Teacher of the Year (1994). In 2004, she received a joint award from the Arizona Administrator's Association and the Arizona Alliance for Arts Education. Her work has been featured on National Teacher Television and on the Arlington Virginia Television, Fine Arts Series. Ginny is a six-time cooperating teacher for the University of Arizona and a former member of the Arizona State Department of Education Teacher Proficiency Assessment Committee.

Dawn Walker holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Theatre Performance. She’s appeared in productions of Dracula, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dusa, Fish, Stas, and Vi, and The Good Doctor. Her experience is in advertising, newsletter design, photography, event planning, marketing design, and community relations. Awards include Outstanding Student in Co-Operative Advertising from the Western States Co-Op Advertising Network (1992), and Outstanding Communications Graduate (1993). She enjoys combining her love of theatre with her educational and professional background to ensure Studio Connections is a success.

Studio Connections provides fine arts classes, entertainment, and performance opportunities for all ages. We started out in 2002 with a middle school summer camp. Since then, we’ve expanded into a comprehensive arts studio with classes, monthly Coffeehouse Jams, a summer program, and a seasonal roster of theatre productions.
